Holgate effectively plants seeds of doubt that blossom into full suspense.

The book shines in its portrayal of emotional complexity. Damon’s internal struggle over career expectations, Kat’s maternal instincts, and the family’s intertwined loyalties add depth to the political plot. The book is well paced. I had a great time reading this book. Canyon has done a great job in this book.
