Book: Moments

Written by: Elaine Makara

My Thoughts:

I recently picked up a poetic memoir by Elaine, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The book offers a heartfelt journey through the ups and downs of the author's life, blending moments of joy and sorrow in a way that feels both intimate and universal.

Elaine candidly reflects on her parents' divorce and the doubts it sowed in her about marriage. Despite those insecurities, she found love with a wonderful partner, and together they raised three beautiful children. One touching highlight is her father's immense pride in his granddaughter Caroline and his admiration for Elaine's accomplishments and talents.

Reading this book was a joy. The cover design immediately caught my attention—simple, yet striking—and the content within was equally compelling. The author’s raw and unfiltered storytelling made it easy to connect with her experiences, and it encouraged me to reflect on my own life and the people who have shaped it.

This memoir is a gem. It’s deeply emotional, relatable, and written with a simplicity that leaves a lasting impact. I’m already looking forward to exploring more of Elaine’s work. If you’re searching for a book that will resonate with your heart, this one is a must-read.
