Flame Within
Flame Within by Theresa Gage
If you're a fan of dragons and magic, you won't want to miss Gage's latest release, "Flame Within." After devouring the first two books in the series, I was eagerly anticipating the third, and it was worth the wait.
The narrative is thrilling and gripping from start to finish. Olivia, the protagonist, immediately captures the reader's affection. Her deep love for her family is evident, and her heartbreak is palpable when her elder sister Juliana is sacrificed to dragons as part of the King's ritual. Olivia is convinced that the King is ruthless, showing no regard for her father's loyal service over the years.
Tragedy strikes again when Olivia's father is called to battle, and she pleads with him not to go, still reeling from the recent loss of her sister. Unfortunately, Olivia soon faces another devastating blow with her father's death.
Meanwhile, Prince Aidan and Cosmo uncover a shocking secret: Olivia's sister Juliana's spirit is trapped within the body of their uncle Roark's niece, Phebe. There was a sinister plot orchestrated by their sister-in-law, Queen Mori. Mori's jealousy over her husband's interest in Juliana led her to ensure Juliana was chosen as a dragon sacrifice.
Gage has crafted a captivating tale that kept me enthralled throughout. Her writing is truly enjoyable, and the characters of Aidan and Olivia are standouts in this compelling story.
